Gwynedd Square provides special
opportunities for the youngest members of the congregation that benefit
both the child and the parent. The Nursery and Play Group allow the children to flourish in a
nurturing environment and permit parents to attend either
worship service, Sunday School, and fellowship time.
• Nursery
Gwynedd Square offers a
peanut-free nursery facility for infants and toddlers during Sunday School,
worship services, and some special services and events. The nursery is
staffed by two volunteer child-care workers and is open to all members and
visitors of the Church. This safe and clean setting is a wonderful place
for children to spend time. Parents are welcome to leave their children in
the nursery while attending services and classes. The nursery is stocked
with age-appropriate toys and parents are welcome to visit their children
at any time.
• Play Group
Play group is a time for young
children, aged birth to five, and their mom, dad, grandparent, or caregiver
to come together for play and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere. The
playgroup meets year-round on Thursdays in the nursery, at member's
homes or at local parks. Children are encouraged to share, take
turns, and verbalize to build their social skills while they play together
and make new friends. The adults also enjoy socializing and having ad
hoc discussions on common parenting topics while they play with the
children. Call the church office for a schedule of meeting locations
and times.
