GSPC Spiritual Growth Opportunities
Sunday School is available for youth in Pre-K through 12th Grade from September through May at 9:40 a.m.
Drop your child off with one of our dedicated child-safe Sunday School teachers and enjoy our coffee hour in the library, or the Adult Forum in the Calvin Room.
Your child will enjoy time learning how much they are loved by God through Bible stories, crafts, music, fellowship, and missions. They will also earn God dollars which they can spend on items at our God's General Store. Contact the church office for more information on our Sunday School Program.
This group examines a wide range of contemporary religious issues and topics. Through discussion of current books on a variety of spiritual topics, the Bible, and other curriculum materials, we aim to enrich our spiritual lives and increase our discipleship. Usually four to six separate studies of various length are scheduled each year. All are open to any adults who are interested. The Forum meets at 9:35 on Sunday mornings from mid-September through Labor Day.
The major study this fall will begin in October, a 6-week study of Moses: “In the Footsteps of the Reluctant Prophet,” a fascinating book and video series by Adam Hamilton. As the Introduction states, “I hope this book will not only help readers come to know Moses, but see how his life and story speak to our lives and stories today.” There are a lot of interesting questions to discuss as well as discoveries to be made! Books are available for purchase in September.
- Bible Study meets September through Memorial Day on Wednesday mornings. Watch church Bulletin for details.
All are welcome to meet us on the fourth Saturday in the church parking lot at 8:30 a.m. May- October. We carpool to a designated trail for a nice hike for all ages. Midway through our hike, we stop for a brief Christian message.
- DIVAS After Hours this women's Bible study group meets on the third Monday evening of each month at Park Place Diner. Contact the church office for more information.
Three year olds through 2nd graders participate in "A Time for Young Christians," a children's sermon, during the Traditional Worship Service. The children are then excused to attend Children's Church. Children's Church uses Bible stories and lessons to teach the basics of what it means to be a Christian.
Children entering Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to share in songs, Bible lessons, drama, arts and crafts, games, and snacks. All children who attend Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church and all children in the surrounding community are invited to attend. 2018 VBS information TBA.
Located in the Poconos, the Presbytery of Philadelphia runs this overnight camp. Campers attend different week-long sessions for specific age groups, grades 2 through 12, during June, July, and August. The programs provide experiences in sports, fellowship, games, Bible study, leadership, volunteer work, camping, and outdoor adventure. Costs vary depending on the length and focus of program selected. Scholarships are available; inquire at the church office for more information.
