On behalf of Gwynedd Square
Presbyterian Church (directions),
we invite you to worship God with us and to participate in our activities.
Our church building (pictures)
has expanded over the years since the first structure built in 1960.
The Sunday
morning worship
service is a special time for us - a time set aside for praying,
singing, giving, and listening. Worship allows us to reconnect with God, to
listen to God's word for our daily lives, to respond to God's call by
giving of ourselves, and to become renewed by God's spirit for the days
ahead. When we worship, we believe it's important to think, to share, and
even to laugh.
The
congregation continually reaches out to one another and to our world with
Christ's message of hope, life, and healing. Simply put, we try to be
Christ-centered in all that we do.
From
its modest beginnings to the present day, ours has been a mission
church. We strive to live up to Christ's injunction to "Feed My Sheep"
by giving not merely of our income, but also of our time, our energy, our
talents, and our compassion. We seek to identify and meet the needs of the
people in our church, our community, and our world.
Through
the work of the Holy Spirit, we are a diverse and growing congregation
whose members span several generations and come from a variety of
backgrounds.
We
learn about God through the examples of others, through life experiences,
and through Christian education. We continue
to learn throughout our lives in order to grow as individuals and as a
congregation. Whether we know a little or a lot, we are all on the same
journey, seeking to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with
our God" (Micah 6:8). We
welcome you to join us!
